Default safety please!!!!!!!!!

well my (fpb) is a blast , but they are not harmless toys. Sat (the day the shuttle went down and my son's 10th birthday) my son and I were flying . Having fun when I brought it close in and my son put his hand out to push the thing away . The 10/4 master air screw prop hit his left hand almost cutting off his ring finger and damaged another . man did it happen fast . Please make sure to fly where no one can have this same thing happen . I would hope this will make some of us think before flying our (fpb)
wild and close to people just for the fun of it.

I sure hope there is no lasting dammage!

Things like this is the reason I personally don't fly that close to myself or others. I do hope he is going to heal well.

Default safety please!!!!!!!!!

I got hit in the chest with a glider I was trying to catch. Hurt like heck, but it was my fault. I have always been very careful not to put myself or anyone else close to my prop. Only make sense. No mater how good a flier you are, things happen! I hope your son is OK. I'm sure you feel like poo-poo, and I hope you have learned to respect what an engine can do, and fly safely!

Sorry to hear about your son. But maybe you should pick another hobby like Whiffle Balls.

Default He is etting better

thanks for the reply guys. my son matt will have a pin in his finger for 4 weeks or so and 6 months of therapy . he will probably need another operation to separate the tendon from the bone. around x-mas time. no baseball this year .

as to getting another hobby (no but heck no )

my son has been flying for two years and other than the first day he got hurt he has no plans of giving up on flying.

I'm glad your Son will return to normal.

Man that stinks about all the surgery. But it could have been worse.

Thanks for posting it. This should make all of us think about safety more.
