Lanier Double trouble?
I had one....not very impressed....you dont need a computer radio. It does some neat KE loops, other than that ,,,theres not much to say about it...Lanier makes some better FF types like the Pro Twister...G

Lanier Double trouble?
yes rudder works like trike gear, from what I can remember rudders work opposite , ones going left while others going right.....good luck with it if you decide to get one....G

Lanier Double trouble?
I would like to drop my computer from an airplane sometimes also :boxing: I got the pics from Lanier's website, but I just needed to know about the rudder throws.I did not want to find out the hard way it was not setup right! It looks as if the rudder servo is mounted on the wing??And the pushrods are running through some tiedowns on the fuse?

RE: Lanier Double trouble?
Wow..I got my question answered..!
I have one ready to maiden (electric) and had the two rudders working in the SAME direction because the instructions say the "J-Plane (front rudder) follows the movement of the Rudder" even though the box cover and plan show them to be moving in opposite directions.
Box Hype says it has "awesome knife-edge performance" and that indicates that the two rudders would be moving in opposite directions, as the tail goes down, the nose goes up (thanks Brian for explaning that) so I'll be re-connecting the linkage on mine before maiden.

Has anyone owned this plane? If so how is the twin rudder setup and does it require a computer radio?

Does not "require" a computer radio BUT....I could not imagine having much fun with those massive control surfaces WITHOUT EXPO....and to get expo, you "require" a computer radio.
I will run mine with probably -80% expo on the ailerons, with a maximum deflection of nearly 50 degrees..!
