Albuquerque Racing Returns
After many years, racing is returning to Albuquerque.
We will run a race August 4-5 at Maloof Airpark. We will offer AMA 424 and 426, as well as NMPRA EF1. The dates are firm, as are the events some of the tentative details include:
AMA short course for all classes
Two one-day events, so if you stink it up Saturday you can still trophy Sunday
Naked course (no lights, just judges) unless we can borrow equipment
I'll be the CD and get teh sanction in place ASAP
Lots of interest in Albuquerque, especially in EF1. Come on out and support local racing!

Bill:
Yup. The routing of Unser has changed a bit, so it does not go up the canyon adjacent to the petroglyphs. The routing is slightly further south. At the top of the hill, the first (only?) left is Molton Rock, then left at the water tank to go south to the field.

RE: Albuquerque Racing Returns
The races are for the whole weekend (two days), to make it worthwhile for long-distance visitors. However, we'll score it as two separate race dates. That is common at the races I have been going to. It does two things. First, if you mess up early your whole weekend is not ruined. Second, assuming we get enough people, it counts as two races for NMPRA points.

Yes Three Pole for EF1 and 424, we would be glad to have you Grimmace. This spring will be the second organized race in some time so expect a safe, fun race weekend but expectations should be reasonable as we organize race help, everyone has a lot to learn. Last October's race was a blast and we had a lot of great feedback from the out of town racers. I have another forum discussing our races. So as to be respectful of the Albuquerque effort if you have any further questions please drop me a note on the Montana races forum. Thanks
