My brother in law just aquired this plane and I'm searching for the MFR!?!?
The Horse on the tail might be a clue!?!?

Those markings are not going to be any clue at all. I beleve this is not an ARF and one clue may be that forward scale tailwheel location.

I suspect this is an older kit built Top Flite, Midwest perhaps.

Ok, thanks for the help.

Found it in the trash and he said there is only some minor damage.... we'll see when he gets it here.

It could be a Top Flite Gold Edition kit. What's the wing span?

He should be here soon but he told me he thought about a 5 foot wingspan.

I'm sure it was in the trash for a reason but might be fixable!? Or a nice plane to hang in the shop!

The Top Flite GE P-51 is 65" so if its around 5ft I would think it to be this kit. Wether it has some damage or not it sure is a nice find, even if its not flyable anymore it would look great hanging from the ceiling.

The horse looks like the Ferrari prancing horse. Appears somebody just likes Ferraris or the prancing horse and just put it there because it appealed to him. Probably has nothing to do with the model.

Gunfighter has the horse on the yellow rudder.

The prancing horse was common on the rudder of 343 Fighter Squadron Mustangs of the 55 Fighter Group during WW2. No idea if that predates the Ferrari logo or not. The airplane coded CY-M was "Miss Marilyn II" by the way.
