The person that started the company was named Shigeo Ogawa. I would be it has something to do with his initials

Google "os k6 ignition motor". Ogawa Seisakucho" is the company name, which was started in 1936. A friend was given one by a returning serviceman on his return from occupied japan in 1946. it had been used in controline flying while he was there . Maybe the occupying American soldiers introduced control flying there. i would say the k6 was probably one of the first os motors made before the war. it would be interesting to know if this is correct... Surely someone will know when Jim Walker introduced control flying.
