Is there a flying field in Cozumel Mexico?
Hi,
I'll be visiting Cozumel in January and was wondering if any one knows of a flying club, flying field or model shop in the area?

Hi Wayne,
When I was there a year ago I didn't see anything resembling a flying field, lots of room to do it but no locals trying it.[] The folks that live there are either well off or hard up. I had a great time while I was there and gained a new respect for the Mexican people. Go get a mask, snorkel, and some fins and see what Cozumel really has to offer on the reefs. Try taking some of the free cereal packs like Corn Flakes with you and open them up under water - you will be amazed![X(]

Hi Vicman and Giestware,
---------------------------------
Vicman,
I been there a few times and really like the people as well. I once worked on an island province here in Canada - Prince Edward Island, and the people there were very friendly. I think its due to the fact that you have to get along on an island, because of the small population and there is no place to hide if you cross someone.
My wife and I both enjoyed scuba diving on the reef. We went over to the mainland and visited the pyramids, and also snorkled in the underground rivers.
This time I thought I might be able visit with modelers on the island, I guess not.
--------------------------------------
Giestware,
I'd like to take a park flyer, but I'm afraid it would get damaged in luggage and don't want to take a chance, but thanks for the suggestion.
