Pollution regulations in California???
Just curious as to the regulations in Ca. with respect to 2 stroke model motors.
Asking as i have been talking with a couple of guys from the States and they were amazed that i had a road registered two stroke motorcycle.
I was aware that the EPA regulations have banned 2st outboard motors for boats in Ca.
Thanks in advance.

Thankfully there are none. But for everything else with an engine, yes.
The greatest thing the environment nazis came up with here are these new "smog reducing" gas cans. Basically, it has a vent that recaptures the vapor and puts them back into the can. Of course, they don't work at all, and you spill more gas than you get into the mower! I can't imagine how dumping half the gas on the driveway reduces smog, but oh well!

Nothing would surprise me about CA. I lived there for along time and should be used to about everything. That being said AZ takes the cake. If you have a wood burning fireplace you can only use it at certain times. They've even outlawed gas powered weed blowers and hedge trimmers. So far they haven't noticed model engines but I'm just as sure some bunny hugger will, eventually. The greenies stopped the Forest Service from cleaning underbrush and gave us two of the biggest fires in state history.

there is and there ain't. The is no law against the 2 stroke emgome anywere, witht he exception for noise ordinancees. But our feild was shut down by enviromentalist with nothing better to do. Just try to stay out of their cross hairs
In 97-98 during the el nino a 1/2 acre puddle of mug was 1/4 mile from out field. some tree hugger took some sample and found model fuel, 2-3 PPB yest part per billion and shut the feild down 50 yr lease and all.
SO now we fly in and extramly dangerouse location at the public airport

Ouch! Well let"s hope they don't ask about the contents of batteries.
But if they do we shall ask them if they drive cars and use fridges and mobile phones.
