Default Securing Hatches

Hi All,

With all the knowledge in these forums, I am sure someone has a good idea for keeping hatches closed without using screws or other stuff hanging in the wind. Specifically, I am building a Simple 400 Pylon Racer, and I want to find a nice way to keep the front (nose) hatch closed.

Thanks!

Use Rare Earth Magnets. They are very strong. Billy

What's wrong with a counter sunk bolt?
You'll only see a 3mm hole and that only after it's been pointed out to you.

Hi!
In pylonracing 10 or more years ago it was common to use a Dzus fastener to secure the engine cowl.
Today many just tape the cowls .
I have also seen people using rare eart magnets on sport models.
have a look at www.MFT.nu and you will find magnets in different sizes

Regards!

Hi All,

I think magnets will be the easiest to use. The hatch will probably be opened frequently, so a screw is not very convenient.
Thanks!
