I have a 6XA-FM Futaba Radio, will this receiver work?
Receiver is a Futaba FP-R12DF, not sure if this is PCM or FM though. I think my radio works with both PCM and FM receivers, does anyone know for sure?
I'm selling my radio and a potential buyer has this receiver and would like to know if it will work.
Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!

Never heard of that RX...
if it is the 127 then it will work fine and it is FM....
the last letter in the model number is F for FM and P for PCM (even though PCM ISFM....but that is a whole 'nuther topic!)
So I think the model number you have should read
FP-R127DF
not
FP-R12DF

If you mean a Futaba FP-R127DF, then yes. It will work. It is an FM receiver. If it is on a different frequency than your receiver, you should have it tuned to your Tx by a radio repair shop like Radio South.

Thanks for all the replys, I appreciate it! One last question, I'm assuming receivers these days don't have removable crystals? I'm a little old school, maybe technology has changed in the past 10 years or so
Thanks!
Thanks!

Most Rx's still have crystals. They are divided into two groups. Low band 11-35, and high band 36-60. As long as the Rx is in the same band as your Tx, there is no need to retune the Rx. However, if you are switching bands, then you must have the Rx retuned.

If a receiver that is not marked as to which channel it is, or if it is not marked with a sticker that says if it is High or Low, you can check inside the crystal slot to see if there is a red mark. If there is a red mark, this indicates that the receiver is High band.
