Clearcoat in aerosol cans??
What brands of clearcoat in aerosol cans if fuel proof, and gas proof. Need something that is available from normal sources: auto supply, Walmart, home center, etc. Need gloss and flat.

Clearcoat in aerosol cans??
For as many times as this subject has been hashed over, I don't think anyone has come up with a clear coat that is a combination of:
1 fuelproof
2 non yellowing
3 available in aerosol cans.
I once bought some 21st Century that claimed to be non-yellowing only to have it turn my beautiful white Fuse a nice pale yellow. Afterwards, I read the fine print where it said: "Will not turn yellow (except on white)"
In my book, that means it turns yellow, you just don't notice it on top of red or blue or (duh) yellow.
If anyone knows of a product that fits all 3 catagories listed above, please enlighten us!

Clearcoat in aerosol cans??
TopFlite LustreKote clear gloss states right on the front of the can "Does not yellow" and doesn't say anything about not using it over white. I personally have used it over white and it is crystal clear. Time will tell, as the paint job is only a few months old, but so far so good.

Clearcoat in aerosol cans??
I tried Minwax polycrylic once (as a test) and it softened rather quickly when exposed to raw glo fuel. Is there something special you do with this stuff because I really would like to use it.

Clearcoat in aerosol cans??
I know about how the Black Baron yellows. I also have noted that Lustercote will react with a lot of other types of paint. Not to mention the fact that these run $8-$10 a can. I was looking for a more cost effective way clear coat without resorting to spray equipment and automotive finish.
Any more ideas??

Minwax Polycrylic is DEFINITELY NOT fuel proof! I bought a can and tried it. Lustercoat is only good with other Lustercoat products. It will soften regular paint.
