Default Finish

Hi

One quick question about finish. A paint shop said that I should use Standox Easy (a 2 component finish). I have applied it and after 24 hours dry it is hard and god. One flight later after removing oil and others the surface is sticky in that area that hade the spray from the engine. Have anybody some ideas?

Regards
Jacs

It means that your finish is not fuel proof.

You'll need to find a compatible clear coat that IS fuel proof and cover it with that.

Had the same problem with the old celolusa clear coat that span silccover. It's fuel proof if I don't use nitrometane. I need to know what you guys are using.

Found the problem a friend told me to get in touch with a guy that fly airplanes and has a paint shop and he told me that the clear coat has to harden for a week before you fly.
