Default New Jump Plane

Here is my new jump plane. A Giant Stinger with the new Area 51 cc engine,
all digital servos and a smoke system. That engine is powerful!!! It has been flown 6 times but has yet to test fly with jumpers. I "horse traded" my underpowered Lift Meister with the Evolution engine-didn't like flying it eitherjust didn't feel right! I will be able to drop 3 jumpers on the old Stinger and 2 with the new one and be able to circle the flag jumper with the smoke plane. Should be impressive if the pilot don't hit the flag jumper! We can't let the big boys beat the our R/C Jumpers!!! [>:]

Whaw ! Thats a nice plane !
Taking up 2 jumpers is enough ,if you drop more you can hardly see which one is yours and getting mixed up and opening the wrong chute (with all the consequents )

You gone a have lots of fun with this plane !

Did a very nice job Jim !

Hi Jim,

Parting with the Lift Meister was a smart move, your new stinger looks great.
I made two drops last Sunday, however they didn't go as planned.
The strap came loose on both drops and the jumper deplaned before he was supposed to.
Atleast it was high enough on both drops that the chute opened ok.
It is a nice 2.5 deg. here!

Thanks guys. The new jump plane was a smart move. NO more Lift Master!!!
Jules, you are right about jumping more than two at once. Every time I do a mass jump (5-6 jumpers), someone always winds up trying to fly the wrong jumper. One goes drifting with the wind with 2 guys try to fly another one-that's after a good prejump briefing! These were great r/c pilots too! Even happened when jumping at "Top Gun" no less!!! We should try that at the next skydiver rally.
Gary, What are you doing trying to jump with 2.5 degrees. The jumpers hands freeze and they can't pull the rip cord!!! Luckily we don't have that problem here!!!
Will try out the new Stinger next week.

Made two test flights yesterday with the new Stinger drop plane after installing drop boxes and smoke system and all went well. Then dropped 2 "Mikes" (winds 16mph) and everything worked great -except we would not have hit a circle . Hit the runway though!!
Photo is not very good but notice the left jumper was barely hanging on the plane. It stayed on until we hit the drop point. Who attached the jumpers???[&o]
All in all , it was a good test of all systems and it's ready to go.

Man, it must be nice to be able to jump in January. I would need ski's on my plane to jump right now. Plus it's only 20 degrees so my jumpers would probably ice up before they were released. Great picture and have fun jumping.

looks like a set of floats on that stinger would be FUN on that lake behind you...

Hey Sigman, don't give me any ideas!!! I have flown many float planes off the lake but not a stinger. Don't think I want to chance that even though I have a set of fiberglass floats that would work. Hmmmmm, maybe I should reconsider!!! Naw, too much money in my new jump plane and my skydivers can't swim. I'll use my Sea Cruiser instead as soon as it warms up. Was 56 today!!
Decisions, decisions!!!!
