my track
here are some pictures of my track that i started on last october. it is a constant work in progress. i really couldn't take a good picture, and it is hard to distinguish between grass and dirt, but the track has 5 turns with 3 nice burms, and 4 nice jumps, one of them has a 20 foot transfer. it is a fun place to play.

RE: my track
Looks good
As the weather breaks we all start to get the itch to get out and play, been a long cold winter here in OH.
Mother nature has been kind this week, and the practice track my brother and I built last year has dried up enough to get out and sling buggies around
I ran a few tanks through my new P7...finishing the break in, and collected a few pounds of sticky dirt on the S3.
Here is a pic from last July when we finished laying the pipe.

RE: my track
nice track screpheap. my track is on an army post, and we dug it all out with shovels and steel rakes. it was a backbreakind endeavor. i was supposed to have a $1000 budget, and the track was supposed to be for MWR, but about 2 months passed and no work had been done, so i just did it myself.

I'm with you on the labor factor, definately more sweat than $$$ involved.(kinda like laying pipe when I was young and single)
We have maybe $200 invested in materials, and prolly $1000 in beer, but we recycle the beer cans to help defer the rising cost of nitro.
The neighbors havent complained much, as a matter of fact the closest neighbor cant speak a word of english, so he walks over and leans on the fence and shakes his head a lot

RE: my track
i like the track. I once had one in my backyard until i cracked some gears in my steering servo (which i didn't have replacements to) and i didn't feel like fixing up my buggy way back in the day... Anyways, my parents called a guy in to lay down some gravel and now i got a 2 inch layer of the crap over my track [:@] that really angered me. Now i'm gonna get back at em and wait till they go away for a day and re-do the track but over the entire back yard this time :P (my origional track only costed 30$ for the pipes(not crack or weed... i was 11 then.. now i have to throw in that type of expenses^^))

RE: my track
Thanks for the props guys
I've been experimenting with the idea of expanding the track and adding some more difficult jump combinations... I want to make a crossover jump and a couple more doubles.
Also have a 8X16 deck lying around that will be the new drivers stand this summer.
As you can see from the pic we have plenty of room for expanding the existing layout, with a couple cases of beer and the help of a front end loader it should be no problem.
