There were some quality issues with some of the gas tanks, and this has been covered. They are aware of the problem and have changed the plastic formulation. I have had my Hyper 8 for a few months and have not experienced any leaks. To me, this is is minor. I would hardly be "disappointed" by the failure of a $9.00 part. I do not have my Hyper 8 yet but have done quite a bit of reading on it and from what I have read Ofna will replace the tank at no charge. From what I read the clear looking tanks are the ones that had problems and the milky tanks are the ones they are replacing them with. I recommend you get in touch with them.

superlight i got mine back when they first came out. i have run the snot out of it and have not
replaced anything. it does have some play in the rear hubs but some set screws took care of most
of the play. all in all im happy with it, performance and durability. will probably buy another one.

I finally broke an arm, and I knew it needed to be replaced beforehand, but no I had to run it till it gave up the ghost, and of course cost me a possible main win (I was in second, only 1 sec behind first when it gave out). After 4 to 5 gallons worth of racing. So I can't say anything except positive things about the buggy. The more I drive it the faster I get. I give all the credit to my buggy, it IS THAT GOOD...I could go on for days about the Hyper 8 and its abilities...Can you tell I like the buggy?? ALOT!!

Geat to hear that the H8 is alive.
Will be making order soon.

BTW, any reason why some have changed the shock to those Jammin big bore shocks?
Are the stock ones not up to it?

It's all just a personal preference. The Jammin's are NOT necessary for great results when racing. See the Hyper 8 forums on the Ofna site.

Do not have my Hyper 8 yet but do just about have everything else, OS RG.21, 172oz steering servo, 97oz throttle servo, better tiers, starter box as well as some other things all new. I know everyone says how bad the pipe that comes with the kit but how many have run it or have most changed before ever running and cannot say really how good or bad it is? I plain on getting another pipe probably an OS but I am going to run the stock one first to see how it does. What is people’s opinion of the stock pipe that has run it? Hope to have my Hyper in the next month or so.

Well I just ordered a Hyper 8 kit through my somewhat-LHS so I should have it next weekend

I'm anxious to see how the Hyper 8 Pro will compare to my Hyper 7 PBS/PCR

I need a cool yet simple color scheme for my buggy now...

Just got my H8.
Strip the diff out to replace it with Diff oil and was supprise to see all 3 diff have diff oil in them.
Replaced them anyway as I'm not too sure what weight are they.
For a buggy at this price, I see that it's pretty well build.

But those diff housing and gears doesn't look that robust to me, the rest of the parts looks and feel good.
Anyone has problems with them?

Stock pipe works pretty good but I changed it for a OS 2050 and it seems to have a little better performance on both the bottom and top end.

Is it worth the $125? I am guessing this is what you are talking about.

Have a kind of stupid question.
How you you guys adjust the chamber?
I tried adjust the upper arm turnbuckle to the exact same length for the left/right and when I measure the chamber on the wheel side, one is at -1deg which I'm trying to achive but the other wheel seems to out of the 1deg I'm trying to get by alot.
Should I just adjust the wheel chamber base on the angle itself or should I keeo the turnbuckle at the same length?

you need to adjust them individually. but it sounds like the front wheels are not centered. if you drive
it and trim it to track straight then both sides should be close. you need it centered before you make
the adjustments. like bentgear i dont remember how the pipe performed. i ran a jp2 with the rbs7 and
with the p5x. i just mounted the ninja, will try both pipes again to see whats the difference.

Just ordered my Hyper 8 kit for $374 shipped. As most know I have just about everything else but a receiver. Have a new chrome top starter box, new OS .21 RG, better tires for my local track, new 172 oz coreless servo for steering, new 90oz for throttle and brake servo, new 1400 receiver hump back and more. I have other nitro vehicles that I races so I have all my track equipment is there anything else others know I need to get?
