NEED HELP BUYING MY NITRO 1/8 BUGGY
I am a beginner who needs help buying a new buggy. I am looking for a very powerful buggy that is rtr with a lot of power but east to drive. I was looking at this buggy called the bazooka razor that was on sale for $239 and the regular price was $699. I dont know if it is a good buggy that i am looking for. Any help would be very thankful and helpful.....

RE: NEED HELP BUYING MY NITRO 1/8 BUGGY
Bazookas are pretty mediocre in terms of quality. They keep the price down by using cheap parts. Diff wear is another issue with them and the stock clutches burn out fast.
Try to avoid the ebay buggies, spend that bit extra and buy something like the Hyper 7 RTR, a great buggy which is raceable (Bazookas are not) and have a lot of upgrades available.
Good entry level buggies are the Hyper 7, Cen Matrix, Hot Bodies Lightning and anything Amain sell.

Are good sites that sell brand name products which they have spares for when you break them (which happens to even the best buggy)

RE: NEED HELP BUYING MY NITRO 1/8 BUGGY
Bad things I can point out just by looking at those pics...
-cheapass Himoto AM radio
-Engine has a tiny heatsink, will probably run very hot
-cheap plastic arm mounts, those things should be alloy as they take a lot of stress, especially with jumps
-screws, good buggies have hex nuts
-shock towers and chassis look thin, stamped alloy.
-top mounted steering servos are an old design, new buggies are laid down to keep weight as low as possible
For $240 its cheap but the old rule is you get what you paid for.... Don't expect long term reliability

RE: NEED HELP BUYING MY NITRO 1/8 BUGGY
the body does not fit properly[], the shock towers are paper thin []and engine is very weak, vertex 21[]. with some porting it will be good but mine only lasted about 2 gallons before the piston rod slid out of place and scored the sleeve, ruined[]. for the price it will be fun for about 1 gallon then the problems will start to creep in and parts will start to get ordered and who knows how long before they get there. i would check with your local hobby shop what cars they carry or if they are selling a slightly used car (hopefully a losi 8b or 8t for you) for cheep. i have had a couple chinese knock off buggies and after going to hobao i now see how brittle they are/were. i literally would drive it for 3 minutes and something would break that i had to replace and wait a week to get. fix it and ext time out it would break something else 1/2 way through a tank. i was very new to cars so i experimented a lot too.
theres too many answers for that one, i would ask a girl first though! ha!
i was wondering if you have any good tips for ridding

Before you rush out and buy some cheap Chinese noname buggy invest that bit extra and get something made by a decent company.

Hobao build excellent buggies and this, although it costs a lot more than those ebay things will last 10x as long.
Or this, truggy, good quality and very well priced, for bashing it will be better than a buggy.

I think you should listen to the advise you have been given about staying away from that cheap POS and get some thing that will last more than a week (if that) before its broken. You say you want this "just having it for fun" well so do most of us we don't race or bash for the money and prizes I at least just race for fun, but that does not include fixing things every time I take it out of the house. DO not buy this buggy unless all you want to do is wait around for parts and fix when you could be driving, and by the time you see how much parts will cost you, are you going to save any money... i doubt it. I can tell from your post above that you have some money burning a hole in your pocket so go get that POS and remember what advise you were given here.
