Default Outrigger Hydro

Can anyone identify make, model & year of this Outrigger Hydro and estimate value? OPS 40 approximately 40 inches long X 20 inches wide.

I don't think so. I might have seen one in a magazine many years ago but have no idea who made it. Everything looks so off on it, the engine too far back, too long for .40 power and an odd place for a turn fin.
Price? Whatever you can get for it. The boat wouldn't be any more than a play toy with it being under-powered with an outdated .40. In cases like this I couldn't even give you a guesstimate.

Thanks for the info. Got this boat from a friend years ago. Just curious what it was. Fun to run!

I saw one years ago, not set up like that however. I agree with Ron, that turn fin is "interesting", to put it mildly.
If the boat was going to be raced:
1) I'd move the turn fin to the right sponson inside or on a bracket moving it to slightly behind the sponson.
2) I'd move the engine forward and replace it with a .67
3) I'd re-balance the boat to account for the weight and balance changes and race it

Just out of curiosity, where do you run the boat? The Naselle River looks a little narrow to run a boat like that on

Have some large lakes around here, havent run it for about 10 years,it just sits on a shelf with my other boats.Got it from a friend about 20 years ago.Took the ops out replaced it with OS vrm.46.went very fast but right sponson WAVED at you in corners because turn fin was in such a weird place.Never raced it.I will admit the boat is laid out very strange, not like a typical outrigger. Would a serial #off the OPS help date the thing? Thanks for the info

It could, if someone knows how to decipher it.
The reason the sponson was up in the air is that the turn fin wasn't holding it down. A properly located fin with a hooked end or slanted installation would remedy the issue
