RE: Help me decide,a Traxxes 3.3 Revo,or a Losi LST XXL nitro
I have seen on Youtube where there were a few 3.3 motors braking the rod right at the crank.
I bet Traxxas knows about this and they probably don't want to do any thing about it.
I have yet to read where there was a Losi 454 motor going bad, I'm sure there is, I just have
not read it yet.

Another thing, I don't have a IPhone, isn't that what you need for the Traxxas controller?
I still have a7 year old flip up phone))))))))))))))))
I like the Losi control better.

Also, Traxxas has a program where if you blow your engine, regardless of who's fault it is, you can get a new engine for $100 for the 1.5, and 2.5 engines. $115. for the 3.3. If you want to upgrade from the 2.5 to the 3.3, it's $115. There is also a conversion kit to up grade from the 1.5 to the 3.3.
It's nice to know that you can get parts fast and easy with the Traxxas. Plus RPM and Integy have a lot of up graded aluminum parts for the Traxxas as well. RPM has a Lifetime warrantee on their parts.
I would rather run with the Traxxas than a Losi. Parts are hard to come by with Losi and there aren't many after market parts for them.

That's an easy one Makrcuda, the losi xxl and lst are regarded as the best nitro monster trucks in all of rc. The revo not so much. As t-max said a truggy like the nexx8-t might be worth looking into as well. This is the rtr truggy I started with http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Engine-Type-1 and it is a solid kit.
Other monster trucks I would take over the revo would be an hpi savage and the finicky mgt8.

You don't need a Iphone. It'a an optional telemetry program that lets you see the RPM/s, Temp, Voltage and Speed displayed on your IPhone.

I'd vote on the nexx 8t cause I got one of its earlier predecessors, and that one is one tough truck so the newer one should be more the same
But out of the 2 the OP said I'd go losi, and that is coming from someone that is not a losi fan. I've owned 3-4 traxxas vehicles though to know they are over hyped, and over priced.
countilaw the Integy stuff is only an upgrade if you want to put the RC on the shelf to use it as a conversation piece as the integy will bend or snap fast as their products suck ass. As for RPM support honestly I almost think RC's that have a ton of RPM parts available are almost not worth buying after getting some that have tons of RPM parts available, as the stock parts are usually pretty crappy.
Well manufactured RC's don't need RPM IMO.

Lets talk warranty, or is there even a warranty?
If something brakes, what is the procedure on getting things fixed?
This would be on the Losi.

If you break a part you buy a replacement and fix it..warranty doesn't cover normal broken parts, warranty isn't even something I would bring it in to the equation.

most companies warranties end at user error, but that is how they keep prices down so you get a superior vehicle for less
Traxxas majority of what you are paying is for their warranty which is almost needed on their vehicles, and the rest of the extra charge is for sponsoring races.

please do not use local jargon as it makes things almost impossible to understand.
That is unless you are talking about walking up and slapping the RC with your hand like a women would do across your face if you insult her looks... but somehow I don't think you mean that.

Well, all you fine people, the Losi won out.
It is ordered as we speak, got it for $609 plus tax.
Is there any thing I should start buying a head of time?
Should I have 2 battery packs for the hand control?
I'm not worried about the hand held starter batteries,
they should last a good half day or more on a
charge?
How about the receiver batteries in the truck?
How about make it stronger parts?
