T-maxx ez start problem!
Few days ago I drove my t-maxx through a big puddle and got water in the ez start motor. So I took the truck apart today and replaced the motor but now the ez start won't turn the engine over? It clicks and gets stuck but turns over fine with the glow plug out. Any ideas?

You can run brushed motors under water without any problems so I don't think anything is wrong with the motor, Im not to familiar with the ez start system I haven't had one in a long time.

Hmm I know you can break in brushed motors under water but the motor died following my t-maxx going through the puddle. I just asume that water got in there and killed it? Just tested the motor that I pulled out and it showed no signs of life.

If the battery is not dead You may have got water into the EZ Start Gears. Pretty easy to pull the engine out and inspect the gears on the EZ Start.
I am sure i do not have to say this but clean your engine real well before pulling it apart.
Last time this happened to me I cleaned up the gears with some Motor Cleaner or Denatured Alcoholin a dishand did a little maintenance on the One Way Bearing thanit worked properly again.
The gears do not require any lubrication but whenever I pull mine apart I use a little AE Stealth GearLube on the upper gears where they spin on the motor.

I would check the one way bearing too, sometimes they get oil in them and spin or slip on the shaft. I had a lot of touble with the traxxas bearing slipping, less so since going to a force bearing.

LOL, nuthing is impossible in this hobby.. this same problem was entertained and witnessed by me as my buddy went thru a smorgyboard of solutions till he realized that he did just that, when mine gives me issues, i usually tap on the side of the motor and that kicks it in, i'm sure it was a dirty puddle........ lol
