Hello. It has been a while since I was on here. I have moved to Tabuk Saudi Arabia and want to get back into r/c. Does anyone know of any shops in Jeddah, Riyadh, or anywhere in Saudi that sells r/c equipment and how to get in touch with them? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Not sure if it helps, but Tower hobbies does ship to Saudi Arabia.

I'd also search local listings, the RC scene in the Middle East is of considerable size.

HI,
I am also living in the Middle East, but in Qatar (Saudi Border). RC is ridiculously expensive in the gulf. Everything we buy locally is double the price or more!!!
I know that Aramex has just opened in Saudi and they have a thing called "Shop & Ship" which you could sign up for at $35.00 one off fee. That allows you to have a shipping address in the US and UK which then forwards all your mail to Saudi and you collect from Aramex. The rates for shipping are roughly SR40.00 for the first half kilo and then SR31.00 per half kilo thereafter.
Also you only pay for local shipping in the US to a New York address which is relatively cheap. For a complete RTR package (shipping to Saudi) is about SR300.00.
This is the BEST option for you, trust me, it is well worth the saving on RC parts, and we only use the 1 local shop in extreme emergencies. How does U$ 850.00 for a revo sound...

Do you think it will be ok for me to travel into Saudi with my RC gear? I have heard mixed opinions. Some guys have told me I need to be a member of the SAC before I bring my RC gear with me.

hi steve, i dont think its agood idea dont take the risk thesaudi custom will take your rc gear away, the good news is in ryhad thy do have offical rc clup rigstered at the govermint any one who is amemmber in ryhad clup thy say he is allowe to gotone rc and thy will give you acopy from some litters thatyou can ship oneor 2 rc planes ayear you have to bay memmber fees around 500 to 600 ryals ayear, also i have seen some artical in ther web site some guys complain that thy brought some plane wth them and thy had copy of that litter and the custom hold ther planes and some guys thy got ther plane with out any hassle so my advise to you dont bring your gear the first time you come to saudi just come nad see haw things work ther in ryhad , and i think you can find r/c planes in ryhad for sale.
