Good tracks in the Bakersfield area?
I am going to be in the bakersfield area soon for the day and wanted to (drive, maybe race) on one of the tracks there, anyone know what tracks are down there, i found Racers Haven and Metro RC speedway, but none stated what times they were 'open to driving" on and things like that, i am likely going to run nitro (i do have my 18T but its sorta lying there) so if any tracks are "no nitro" please tell me as i can make a "change" for this, thanks alot.

Dont know what times they are open. Give them a call. I was just looking on rctech.net racing forum and I looked under JBRL nitro racing series and that was a sop they made.

Found a video of it, [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNX6w9VsOYs[/link]. It certantly isnt in need for more space. It would be great for your ST-1 but would break your rc18t in a heatbeat!

Racers Haven is my local track, although this isn't the best time to go there. They are flattening the entire track and redoing it for next weekend’s oval nats. Full Throttle Hobbies is a nice track for 1/8 vehicles. A lot has changed since the video posted above. It is a much nicer facility and track IMO. I haven't been to Metro in a while.

I have no idea what either tracks plans are during this week. I think it would be best if you called and talked to them directly.

Has anyone heard anything about The ADirt in Hemet? My friend said it got shut down, but it was such a nice track and the people where nice. Hope he's wrong. []

RE: Good tracks in the Bakersfield area?
Really? It's true? I also heard a rumor about it closing. Hemet is one of my favorite tracks even though it's a pretty far drive from here.
I also heard something about Sun Valley Speedway; possibly closing down??? It would be a shame to tear up that giant on-road track. The off-road was also high on my favorites.
