hahahaha...welcome!

you have many options for shocks.
1) tamiya short shock set
2) any generic aluminum 80mm (i would definitely double check the length on that before buying some...this is from memory)
3) with slight modification the front shocks from a stampede or rustler would also work. (and for that matter, you could take the front shocks off an evader as well. they're aluminum but i've heard they leak...don't know 1st hand)

let's see some more pictures! i dig the orange/redish color

cool videos by the way, the lunch box was made to be fimed in slow motion.. looks quite real at that speed and you can see the suspension working.

i have just spent over $300 on my next lunchbox and i havent even got the kit yet!!! pictures to follow in a week o two when parts start coming in,

does anyone know where i can get a chrome chassis?

i have been looking everywhere, i saw pictures of a green pumpkin with one and it looked awesome!!!

How do you get the 18t pinion in the LB? According to Tower Hobbies both counter gears for the Hornet and LB are 50 tooth. Just ordered a Sidewinder 4600 for my LB.

the lunchbox pinion has 10 teeth,
the hornet has 18. to use the hornets pinion you need to installthe motor into the gearbox without the plastic spacer. i tried it on mine and acceleration was poor, the truck didnt wheelie and top end speed was very very fast, i took it back out because i wanted long wheeelies!!!

Thanks, I just looked at a schematic of a Hornet and realized the deal with the spacer. I'll try the 18t with the 4600.

here is my latest purchase!

everything is chrome for the underneath, including small details like the oil cover and lower spring mounts. i dont now weather to put this all on a gold lunchbox or metalic pumpkin, i also have another tamiya flashing unit and room to run 16 LED's so i might have led's pointing down from behind the body to light the chrome up!

It seems that a 12 or 14 tooth pinion would work rather well, if I can find one that works, I'll post a link.

yeah thats what i thought.

10 teeth is standard but 18 is lacking punch, does anyone know how many teeth the old grasshopper or frog had?

Man that's horrific damage!, sorry to see it. I will take from this that I ought to do my high-jumping over grassy stuff. In fact, grass would seem to be more LB safe that any other surface.
