Combat Brewster Full Composite
Just been maidened 1/12 Brewster with SC (ASP) 15 Blue head 8 x 4 prop. Weight is about 900grams.
Scale wing profile, flies great and glide is very good.
Now waiting 9 x 3 and 9 x 3N props to get more thrust.
Its not fastest but very nicely turning plane.

Nice job and WAAAAAY to nice to fly in combat.
Did you scratch build it.
If not who is the manufacturer.
When I was flying combat some of the East Europeans were producing small runs of high quality composite air frames. I was always in awe of their models with rivets and panel lines.
Never saw a Brewster though especially one with swastikas. [ Banned in Germany if the model is owned by a German. ]

Thanks,
Its scratch built by me from 3 view and studies at museum. Took 7-8 months to build plug. Modified Pentti Manninen's plans to match real plane.
Its 100%scale including all control surfaces. No enlargening, Rivet lines all based on photos. Modeled plane in pic is Finnish air force leading ace Ilmari Juutilainen's BW-364, claimed 94kills.
Finnish air force used swastikas since 1917 but after war change those to roundels.
This will entry to combat at end of august. Lot of test flights to do get best out of it. Need to built few more.
Cheers
Jukka

Brewster needs a finnish pilot and there is not any for sale. So DIY is only option.
Going to make silicon mold from this. Need some final touches and varnish before.

Joro.....Those really are super looking models...!
Have you tried the Master Airscrew 8 x 3 prop...?
I enjoyed 1/12 scale combat, but it was too much work to be able to participate full time.
I think it could have been better with diesel .15s limited to lower air speed, but not many people in the USA fly with diesels.
