Have you considered putting the pipe over trued foams or slicks?

jus find sum 50mm pipe, buy wheels with tyers mounted (theyre around 50mm aswell)
foam tyers work good, but after a while they start picking up oil from the xhaust, an become slipperyan the PVC slides off (nitro cars ofcorse)
i bought rubber tyers an havnt had a problem yet, they were a bit big at the start, but i jus drove around for bout 10minz an wore them down
till the PVC fit over nicely

Yeah.

It's ok on really smooth surfaces and carpet but gets cut too easily on rougher tarmac making drifting unpredictable

electric suk...i bought 1 of those Mini Team Losi LST things for my gf....mate, they rave about this thing in the book, how much longer the battery lasts an stuff
man, it last like 10mins....i ran it with my mates RC Nitro, an i ran out off power jus as he ran out nitro...which dusnt sound that bad...but wen u think
he can jus refill the tank an go play again, i had to let the battery cool down, which takes atleast an hour...then let it charge again for 4-6hrs...i wasnt happy
electric...suk!

but other than that...for wat the mini LST is...its great fun...good for a gurl anyway

I'm about to go buy some abs tomorrow. Any idea what diameter I should get? I've got the CEN CT4-s and I'm putting it on the rims that come with it. Also how long should I put them in the oven and how hot should I set it to make them just hot enough to shape?

HPI hard as **** damn good street tires in the front
ABS tires in the back.

Currently set up as rwd instead of awd right now.

abs comes in 2" and 3" for sure u might be able to get it in 2 1/2" but im not sure and if you need to stretch it dont use the oven. toss the rings of abs into a pot of boiling water for a while

Here are some I made. I didn't sand the edges yet but I think they turned out okay considering I used a hacksaw. My HPI rims just popped it. I didn't have to do anything to the rims.

I was looking for a tube cutter but the ones I found only cut metal pipes, it wasn't big enough to cut 2" ones. Where did you get yours? It would make my life easier if I had one.

If anyone is interested in abs drift tires i am going to make a run of them and may sell them they are top quality. I turn them on a cnc lathe so they are all perfect and true if you are interested let me know. It will be a few weeks before i can have them. I will post them on ebay also. So keep an eye out there too. Happy drifting!
