These posts showing clear disrespect to my replies would clearly validate deletion of posts if I were the moderator here.  Try checking out the manner to which the Traxxas forums are maintained.  You may come away from it learning a thing or two about proper post etiquette!!

I think we have a new candidate for post of the week.
Its called having fun....relax. I don't know what other kind of replies you could expect from your out of the blue post other than manufacturer bashing. There are 308 pages of precedent for this to be a very civil forum.

If you look to the bottom right of the posts there is a 'report' option where you can contact a moderator regarding our behaviour.

FYI, Moderators on the Traxxas forum (with exception to a few Mods there who do not police the insurgents in the full manner to which they are obligated of their Mod duties, *Rolls Eyes at them in disgust*) maintain a true level of proper public forum communication with a last line of defense by the Mods to delete and/or ban any distruption to proper levels of discussion. This last line of defense serves to maintain orderly discussions which some seem to be lacking of.

Again, relax, Red was being sarcastic. I am certain he knows that Traxxas moderates their forums well.

There is always the button on the bottom right corner for you to use here. The mods do their job here too. I've used them several times.

Understood. Not trying to toot my own horn, but I just feel very strongly of the praise Moderators deserve for their service in maintainig order on the forums. I get rather instilled with great pride in seeing Mod duties enforced properly and swiftly. Moderators of such caliber deserve praise free of any and ALL disrespect. Moderators are the last line of defense in an orderly forum discussion and are deserving of full praise and nothing less IMHO.

Just curious...

Does anyone knows the amperage range of original and version SV2 Sidewinders ESCs ?
Actually would be nice to know how the role new 1/10 CS ESCs Amp range for comparison, like Mamba Max and Mamba Max Pro.
Why do they hide this info?
Interesting to see that the new Sidewinder SV2 chart shows compatibility with 3S Lipos up to 5700KV motor!
If that is correct, instead of changing my motor for 4600, I could just swap the ESC and keep the faster 5700 with 3S...
Seems like a good speed project! : )

Regarding your links, it seems both are for the same product, no difference between them.

I think there are people here using this wheels with E-Firestorms.
Not sure if it needs any mod to fit.
Saw a vid on youtube some time ago of a previous mounted set of wheels, from same brand, that required drilling larger wheels holes to fit.

Some time ago I got a set of rear and front Jato wheels for my Storm, but actually only the rear wheels have the correct hex hub size as Jato uses bearings in the front wheels.
This way I advice you to get 2 sets of rear wheels to fit the Storm.

You will have to change the hubs to traxxas or drill them out.

the links look the same to me. As long as it is a 12mm hex it will fit back or front. some of the older nitro had front wheels that had bearings in them, you don't want those. you may need the traxxas hubs cause the traxxas and e firestorm ones are different. looks like I am a little slow

Forgot about that. I had to buy flat traxxas hex hubs to fit.
Maybe that's why I didn't need to drill.

hpi gives a rating of 70a for their motiv (aka sw gen 1) and i'm betting the SV2 is on par with a MM

Sounds right, As they dont make the MM anymore so they just upped the power on the SW.

Hey guys,
Finally got the time to test run my new eFS.
First impressions:
Apart from a low running time (+- 10min) with NIMH 3300 7.2V, I am really happy.
Coming from 4WD buggy, a little surprising but plenty of fun.
Plenty fast for me; can't imagine driving that thing on LiPo 2S.
Looking forward to buying a new NIMH 5000 MaH 8.4V for extended run time.
Will I get more run time? Will it be a little faster?
Will see and get back to you.
Will also look into spare (front and rear A arms just in case...)
Enjoy the WE,
V

With 8.4V 5000mAh you should have more acceleration (mAh) and top end speed (voltage)
The only draw back is the bigger weight the heavier battery will put in the suspensions and power system.
With more mAh you will also get longer run times, probably around 20-30% more if I'm right.
Regarding spares, I never had a broken part in my storm so far.
And I had some ugly perpendicular crashes in sidewalks...
The only part I had to change was the servo saver, always getting loose after some heavier accidents (and eventually in the soft ones too).

Back to the new Sidewinder SV2, I keep thinking how can it be OK with 5700 if the Mamba Max use have overheat problems in the same motor?
Was it an ESC issue instead of motor that was fixed in SV2?
Will have to wait for someone to try it or ask Castle support, if they are kind enough to give a straight and sincere answer.
Will try CC support to see what comes back...

I think the issue is on 3s and some ppl solved it by using an external BEC.
