RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build
Wow lunchboxer that's hard core!
Regarding the pinion, I wouldn't dare try the 20T, the stock motor already gets alarmingly hot with the 16T installed. I already have a heatsink in there to help cool things, but it still get pretty hot.

I look at them, sell them, build them up when I feel like it, trade them for other vintage Tamiyas, etc.

Yep thats pretty close , if you come into cromford heading towards matlock , at the traffic lights turn left and stay on that road , up the steep hill and then you'll see the brown tourist sign for black rocks , turn left and park in the second carpark and head up the hill to the top . lovely place on a summers day .

RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build

My Feedback: (2)
RE: Tamiya Pajero-Collective Build
Locking the diffs will make climbing alot easier because one tire wont spin when the other one has traction both rotate at the same time, the trade off is it wont turn as well.
The parts to lock the rear are part of the white parts tree that came with your jero, to lock the front you would have to use some method like filling it with something so it wont move but I wouldnt do the front because of how parts are not that easy to get for this
My AX10 has both diffs locked and it climbs well but turning sucks really bad it takes 10ft to make a complete circle

Installed my light kit yesterday In the pics you can see my problem - the left rear tire sticks out more than the right rear.

Without the wheels mounted does the axle seem like one side sticks out further than the other? Without the body does one wheel/tire stick out further past the chassis?

Without the body and the wheels, the left rear does appear to stick out more than the other side. So it has nothing to do with the body mounts and the wheels/tires. It must be something with the trailing arms/suspension..
