sidewinder esc and vxl motor, don't get the 5.5 motor as that's around 7000kv.

would the castle mamba max 4600 bolt straight into the slash mounting....area, or do you need some kind of adapter for the ESC or some such?

so i should get a mumba esc and vxl motor?

or should i just get the waterproof vxl.
i like the idea of keeping it water proof.

What is the fastest combo for a slash?

if you get the fastest combo it won't do very good offroad. It would probably get too hot. the VXL motor has a pretty low kv rating, but you can gear it up, while the mamba motors have higher kv ratings, but you can gear down.....

5.5t is way too much motor for the slash, i have a 60amp 5.5 ezrun combo i threw in my slash for the hell of it, the slash was fast as hell dont get me wrong but it was stuttery and uncontrolable, try a 8.5 or a 13.5

anything recomended so far would be fine for the slash

If you want the cheaper one, go with the Sidewinder 4600kv, if you want better go with the Mamba Max and the 4600kv motor.
