duratrax evader ext
this question is for people who have owned or raced a duratrax evater st or ext truck. With the proper setup and parts, can this truck be competitive? Let me know thanks!

proper setup and parts the st can. the ext is a little lower in performance out of box. i would give the extra cash and get the st. its based off an older losi chassis but ya know, if it has 4 wheels and runs it can be somewhat competitive with the right hands.

I have a evader ext that I aquired about a week ago for $20. I was wondering if it I upgraded it, if it could be competitive.

the st has an adjstable diff, alum shocks and uni-dogbones or
cvd's. these are the main areas of difference and of concern.

anything can be made competitive, as far as cost goes you would
probably be better off with an st roller or just getting an st. if your
seriosly thinking about racing that is.
as i mentioned you wold have to replace the shocks, get cvd's for it,
bearings and some other stuff and you might end up wanting the st
anyway. i would. when you can get an st, some aftermarket ball cups
and a mg servo its pretty much ready to race.
racing can be expensive anyway you look at it. most racers have one of every part on stand-by.
me personally, i wold love to race my bx buggy and chalk it to the losi's and so
forth.
do a search on the net "racing evader ext" see what comes up.
i would go an st though.
