BurningEvader1458, I tried sending you a pm reply but it said "undeliverable"

word of worning, the trenchers you linked require a different rim. you need sc rims and i dont know of any pin drive sc rims (though i've never looked).

The associated sc10 rims are pins or maybe they switched. My sc10 has pins but its three years old. I have the trenchers for my slash 4x4 and they are great. But they will wear very fast on pavement.

Sorry about that. Just realized that I had Receiving messages unchecked. Just fixed it. Could you try sending it again?

How do you convert the Evader Ext diff to a Brushless evader diff. (Metal)

DieHarder 07-18-2012 07:22 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

DO you just replace the plastic gear with the metal one? Does everything line up?

Harlow 07-18-2012 09:28 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

are you talking about the diff or the trans. I've seen people put the metal gear in the trans. I'm not sure about the diff though....I'm curious about it myself.

cumquat 07-18-2012 10:03 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

i believe so. the trans case is the same, so i'd imagine that's all that's needed.

here's a vid that shows replacing the bearing and installing the metal idle gear. Hope it helps!

Thanks. It help alot. I'm planning on putting a Venom 11.1v 35C lipo battery in my Evader. I noticed you can buy it with 20C and 25C and 40C. What's the "C" stand for, and which one is the most powerful?</p>

cumquat 07-18-2012 04:00 PM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

C rating is essentially a current multiplier. take the capacity, multiply it by the C and that's the total current the battery can handle. using a 5000 mah for example, a 25c can deliver 125 amps and a 40c can give 200 amps.

DieHarder 07-19-2012 09:35 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

So the more C the more power?

cumquat 07-19-2012 09:39 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

sort of. the motor will take what it needs and not a milliamp more, the C dictates how much the battery can handle. honestly, anything over 40c is lost on 1/10 scale.

DieHarder 07-19-2012 06:50 PM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

I want to offer the ESC and Motor as much current as it will take. So would a 35C do the job?

cumquat 07-19-2012 08:53 PM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

depends what system you're running. i'm too lazy to go looking. the most powerful 1/10 scale system i can thing of only draws 100 amps. what's the MAH of the battery?

DieHarder 07-20-2012 05:59 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

I'm running a 3500kv motor and a 200amp ESC. The battery I want to get is a 5000mah 35C. It's a Venom battery.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

traxxas? you'll be fine with that pack.

DieHarder 07-20-2012 07:52 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Yeah. It's a Traxxas 3S Velenion waterproof ESC and 3S 3500kv Brushless Motor. What do you run cumquat?

cumquat 07-20-2012 08:00 AM

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

i used to run a 60a 4000kv ezrun. i dismantled my ext2 back in feb to put the electronics into a tamiya df02. a 5000mah 40c gens ace pack gave me 50 minutes of runtime in the evader.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C. Part 2.

Do you run lipo. And if so, 2S or 3S?
