Found a TT-01e kit for £53 but the parts are only gonna cost me £30 for the conversion, but you may have a valid point with the kit. It would certainly be easier to buy the kit because I would know I'm not going to be missing anything

For drifting, try some HPI T Drifts.
The hard slicks, (4406) or the treaded ones (4423) ? Both?

Not TT-01 specific I guess, but as I'm getting one Ithought I'd ask here

What lubricants, oil and grease should I look to get for maintaining/building my car?

At the core of it, you don't want anything that attacks plastic. For liquid I like TriFlow, for grease I've been using Finish Line Extra Creamy Teflonbicycle grease.

Thanks Moontan I'll check 'em out Just out of interest, if I use a non rc lithium grease on my plastic parts like the diff, is it likely to damage them? I don;t know about the different classifications like LM2 and EP2 yet.
Nice chassis Billdozer, I do like the stand you have! I may have to build myself one of those. How much did it cost you? I guess you're not scared of spending a few bucks looking at how many alloy parts you got

Question. I have the Mazda 6 body for racing and i want sure if i should get the Tamiya Bodies if they are worth getting for to race. What happened when i was racing with my friend at the track to practice he clipped my back end and i flipped noticed that the rear i guess the post body hole where the post comes through cracked and now there is a hole. So basically when it flipped guessing the body clip just went through it. Any ways i like my mazda body because it is a good body to race with but i heard that Tamiya bodies are stronger. Just want some Opinions if it is worth to buy the expensive body or just go with the mazda body again and just get thos white disc things you can put under the body clip.

I don't know what lithium grease has in it though I've pumped gobs of that stuff into machinery. I would avoid anything with a petroleum base.

I have two Tamiya bodies, a Mazda and a Porcshe. Neither impresses me as especially sturdy, and I want to find replacements for racing.
Even for aftermarket, it's criminal what they charge for essentially a sheet of blow molded plastic.

I know the price of a body is bonkers, I get it that they gotta pay for the sculpt they made to mould it, and the guys who did it, plus the machinery to make it, etc. But for crying out loud they've been selling the shells for HOW LONG? Surely all that has been paid for already! Robbery

I try not to run my cars into stuff, and I haven't raced either, so I'm going purely on the apparent quality of materials.
It's probably wise to wait for the opinion of somebady that's raced.

Go into any dollar store and see all the blow molded party trays. I have a friend who used to manage a plastic molding company. I'll see what his take on it is.

it has nothing to do with material, labor or shipping, it is 99% licencing fees. pricey business, creating legit fully licenced cars.

Didn't think of that.
Perhaps some enterprising Asian will create a custom line of $5 bodies. HK, ARE YOU LISTENING????

already goin on, the logos are all just a wee bit off, like it says AMC rather than AMG same as a tamiya body pretty much, just not licenced.
