Default AFP Question

I am running AFP with the Real Flight Controller.

I am flying the OMP YAK54P.

How do I set up duel rates and elevator-flap mixing?

Is elevator-flap mixing needed on the sim?

I tried setting the elevator-flap mix up on my Futaba radio, but I could not get both ailerons to move in the same direction with the mix on. Has anybody got this to work?

Thanks,
Dean

I have not tried that, however I have gotten spoilerons and flaperons to work. I have also got some mixes going no problem. I've never mixed ele-flaps, but it sound like you must assign the flap channel to the proper channel in AFP controller setup. Have you done that?

I have aileron on channel 1, flaps on channel 6. I turn Flaperon on and that works fine.

I turn ele->flp on and the right and left aileron do not work together.

I'm stumped ... it should work, prolly just missing one small detail. Keep messing with it. Should work. Not 100% sure though.

It may be your physical setup.

Do you have it configued as one servo (channel) per aileron or one servo (channel) for both ailerons? It sounds like the later since you said ailerons on channel 1. If you only have one servo (channel) for both, it will never work since the ailerons must be controlled independent of each other.

I have it set up like I have all my fun fly planes, with one servo per aileron.

As I said, the Flaperon mix works fine. When I turn on ele-flap mix, the two aileron servos go in opposite directions.

Has anybody got the ele-flap mix to work?

I just re-read your post. You cannot do it with a G2 controller you need a radio that has the capability to do mixing in this case.
