Been keeping an eye on the gears for overheating issues. Does get warm in there so have since opened up the side of the gear cover to allow the air to circulate better. I think the alloy gear plate upgrade would dissipate heat much better extending the life of all the gear bearings as well as the gears themselves.

RE: MCD Race Runner
Got it all put together and painted but haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet. been a little busy. But the paint job got really jacked up. the base of the spay nosle cracked while i was painting and black paint poured out onto the green. it ended up bleeding through. I'll post some pics this weekend as long as no one laughs. looks pretty good as long as you don't look at the roof. Hey, mononpro. How much will those steel gears run and what's the best type of grease to use on the plastic gears?

I placed an order for them (the plastic gears) 2 weeks ago from LargescaleRC (as well as for some other parts), and I have still not heard back from them as to whether my order has even shipped. I've sent 2 follow up emails now, and no one has gotten back to me. It's very frustrating, esspecially since LargescaleRC shipped my previous order before that to an incorrect address! ARG!
I had nothing but praise for Troy and LargescaleRC up untill the past few months, and now I'm having nothing but issues. What's the deal with that?

In other news, I got a set of the rear shock tower bolts from zap713 in the mail 2 days ago. Wow.........only took like 2-3 days to get them! Thanx man!!!
Now I can get my MCD rolling again. Hopefully by this weekend it will see some dirt.
