Glad you went with the front brakes. They are a MUST if you're racing. Without them you will have no control of direction when you're braking going into a turn. Looks like you have a nice setup there. The pipe works well, livens the motor up a bit. Let me know if you have any questions.[8D]

I'm desperately trying to find parts suppliers in North America... Found a place in the UK but I'd rather buy on this side of the pond....

I should take the calipers and compare the suspension parts between the TK and the FG and see what will fit between the 2... I'm just worried about breaking something (not like it happen often) (knock on wood) and laying up the car for weeks while waiting for parts.... The only plastic parts on my car are my front arms, knuckles and bulkheads...

I'm sure you could get an FG front bulhead to fit, it just might take some creativity! Even if you have to drill some holes in your chassis, at least you know you could get parts fairly easily if something were to break. We'll take a look tomorrow.

Supposedly the arms and knuckles are interchangeable....

Then you're all set, now just don't go breaking your bulkhead and you'll be fine!

Heh Brimak09 yes I did. Im just waiting on a few other parts to come in. It came with the CLK body but it was def a piece of crap. So I got a Opel Astra body(which I have to decide the color scheme) for the meantime. I also ordered a lower profile filter and a full set of tires. As soon as I can get the body painted I'll be out there with u guys.

2pock - glad to see you're almost set. Nice choice with the Opel. We need more 5th scales out there! Hopefully we'll see you next Sun.

vtl1180ny - Yeah, that was pretty hard. I thought that might have cracked my cf sideguards but it didn't. It sucks that you broke that arm though. I'm gonna do a little research myself to see if we can get some aluminum arms and spare parts for that baby. If they're hard to come by, you better stock up from wherever you can.

I can get the XRC front end parts... As we saw today comparing the cars they are almost exactly the same.... I've been searching every combination I can to get parts... I found 2 possibilities in the UK and emailed Technokit direct....

I'm going to order arms tomorrow... They are in Chicago so hopefully I'll have them by friday... I'm hoping the chinese stuff holds up.... I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not buying the aluminum arms while I could still get them...

Got my fingers crossed here... I made the order last night... Hopefully the guy is on the ball and they went out today... Chicago to NY, even ground, should only be 3-4 days...

I'm watching an auction in Germany for a complete aluminum front end, I have some of the pieces but spares are nice...

I'm also waiting for technokit direct to get back to me with prices and shipping options if the ebay falls through... Probably going to need to order the springs through their either way...

I tried to see if I could use LST springs, they are longer and a bigger diameter...

I'm going to redo all 4 shocks this week... Going to try light oil in the rear and see if it helps weight transfer...

Trying to talk the wife into letting me get an FG... She gave me the look of death... Not even like I could sneak it on her since she knows what the car costs...

Yeah, it's tough to sneak that past her. I'm sure you'll have luck with parts. There's so many Technokits out there. Where are they getting parts from?

If you import the stuff yourself, then you definitely wont have to worry! Hey, might even be able to make a little money.

My wife works in midtown but she's always wandering downtown... I could just send her....

I know have 3 possibilities for parts... 1 is ebay in Germany... Got a guy in the UK checking parts... and Just got an email back from technokit with prices.... Hopefully my chinese parts get here by saturday and I'll use those for the time being... By Friday I'll either have won the ebay auction or ordered the aluminum parts through technokit... or maybe through the UK...
