run the engine for a tank of gas with no load on it, and allow it to run no more than 1/4 speed. With second tank, run it with wheels on the truck, and back an d forth on some pavement with easy touches tot he throttle with smooth acelleration and braking. This helps to seat the moving parts and set a nice grove. Third tank, well, you can get up to 3/4 throttle, but don't "hammer on it". It will be really really REALLY hard to resist this, but you should. after running allow the truck to cool for abotu a minute or 2 at idle and then shut it off.
After about 5 tanks or so, with my truck I finaly got it warmed up and let her rip at full speed.
Just some tips I did, and the truck I have runs super strong
