I was giving my Baja 5B a little run today cause i have not driven it in
awhile and i was flying down the road under full throttle and apparently i
did not negotiate the bend well cause it hit the sidewalk and flipped over. [][]
Damage Report : the Lunatic front bumper was severely bent up and the Jetpro v3 pipe was also bent up but nothing was wrong with the buggy itself only damages to after market parts. [8D][8D]
Well i guess i will revert back to the X-Can and can anybody tell me who can fix the pipe if possible and I must say that i am a little disappointed with the front bumper because i thought it was more sturdy.[:@][:@]
Anyway once again the Baja 5B has proven to be as tough as nails.

That is good to hear that it is really durable. I just bought one last week and haven't had time to get it running yet.

Got mine back together after a nice digger. I didnt bend my v3, the couple for the silencer tore though.
Do you have a picture of your damaged pipe?

Here is some advice, if you do decide to get a tuned pipe be careful where you run it because they bend easily and the only one that is well protected is the X-Can because i have crashed and flipped over with absolutely no damage to pipe. By the way the HPI tuned pipe seems to be a good choice also. [8D]

For the $199.00 that i paid for it i would have thought it would have

would the HPI pipe be better for you ?? it looks more protected. unless you love the jetpro HPI does make the pipe that comes straight out of the back right?!!? short and stubby little sucker

Yeah, it really is a durable car. The first major crash I had involved a small tree, hit the front tire straight on. Wheel went flying off. Upon further inspection, other than the e-clip on the wheel being lost, the steering turnbuckle was pretty bent. Still, nothing a new E-clip and some hammering of the turnbuckle couldnt fix.

You can try this to bend the pipe back. Fill it with water and tape off the ends. Put it in the freezer and as the water freezes it will expand and push out the dents. I have done it on 1/10th nitro pipes but never tried with the 1/5th scale pipes but it should work. Just check it ever few minutes once it is frozen.

I was going to suggest the same thing as wyd. I have heard from others who have messed up there pipes that it works.

I would just use it as is. Freezing does work but you must keep checking it or else it will burst the seams.

Unfortunately i can't use it as is because it rubs against the shocks and
also the rear posts and the bracket that fastens it down is bent.

I never run any of my big scale cars on the street only my 1/10th and they still get killed when I hit the curb

Running on the street is something i always do and rarely hit the curb but
you know what guys i was not quite used to the extra power that the pipe makes
cause i got it recently. The pipe does not do anything for low end but when it
kicks in at around mid it just flies.

first time ive seen those pipes .how does it sound with that pipe? its pretty similar in shape to what dirt bikes have . will it sound like a motorbike ..
