Default Got my FG ST today!!! Need speedy reply

Hi guys

Finally it is here. This thing is huge, it makes my savage tiny.

Before i start it, i have some questions:

1. the yellow button is the engine stop button right?

2. is there an engine diagram that shows the location of each button? ea. choke, engine stop, prime button?

I notices there is a button made out of plastic that looks like a bulp, what is that?

Thanks guys

Sid.

Save this place as a Bible..
http://www.davesmotors.com/goped-faq.htm

This is your #1 source for motors and parts and pipes.
This all basic and should come real easy to anyone who has a weedwacker.
Have fun..

The bulb is the primer, you want to pump it in order to get fuel into the carburetor. The red or yellow button which feels rubbery on the side of the engine is the engine stop. The choke is a small black or red lever on the carburetor. If it is perpendicular to the axis between the engine and carb, the choke is "on" and restricting airflow, use that position if you have trouble starting the engine. The normally running position is with the lever parallel to the axis.

Are these trucks 1/5 or 1/6th scale. I was on a site today and it said all the FG trucks were 1/6th?

thanks guys, i guess i will try starting this beast tomorrow.

i already bought a gallon of 2 stroke oil with the mixer. now all i need is some gas.

will post updates tomorrow.

btw, when i lift the truck up, i can only see 3 engine screws, is this normal?

and when i look at the back, i can see the diff gear, i am worried that dirt will get in there and messed up the gears.

yes the Fg off-roads are 1/6 but the on-road cars are 1/5
your MCD's are 1/5 also
Hpi baha is 1/5

TMDZ, sounds like to me you lost an engine mount screw from the bottom, better find another or your engine will soon move around. It shouls be a screw and that washer you need

the screw you can get at home depot.. the washer no, it has to be a washer that has a slopped indent like the screw does... i dont know the size off the top of my head but FG has the correct washers and screws. look on bigboystoysandhobbies.com. look for part number 6038 and 6712/6
