RE: Will TNG Ever Release The 2Sped For The Baja 5B???
Look for one to be released around RCX (April 20, 21) It will be distributed through TGN, but not made by them, and no, not made be me either, but I know its coming, I have see the final prints and 3d cad drawings. But, start saving, they are very high end units, and will not be cheap, but they are made to last.

Price range will be closer to $400. Steel pinion, aluminum spur, and yes there will be a couple of options for the second gear. The kit is designed so that first gear uses the standard HPI gears of which there are several options for.
Though this kit will be expensive, if you compare it to the FG kit which is really the only thing comparable it is significantly better in design, quality, and durability.

Yes, I am the designer but this will be released under a new company that has not be released yet. We will spill the beans in about a week-and-a-half.

These things are not all that simple. They are for the nitro's and small hp cars, but getting into the 1/5 scale market with engines approaching 7hp, the 2 speeds start to get a little dicey. Brice has been testing and refining his for a year now, and has been finding small issues here and there that he has been correcting. You think you solve one issue, another pops up, but only after really flogging the thing.
We are convinced that the final design is the way to go, and should be reliable and strong, now it is just a matter of getting all the pieces to the kit manufactured, and putting the kit together with a good set of instructions. The goal, is to have them available by RCX which is April 20th. It will be cutting it close, so everyone keep your fingers crossed.

I'd willingly pay good money for something if I knew it was well tested and not rushed to the market "Junk" and stood up to the abuse we (I) put things through.
With all the hop-ups out there, some are good, some are bad. Price does not always reflect this equaly.
