RE: FG vs MCD
Apples and Oranges...
MCD is 4wd and much better handling but has less ground clearance than an FG monster (if we're talking about the Baja 1000).
The FG is rear wheel and much faster, and lighter, but much more difficult to drive.
The MCD has a lot of drivetrain to pass the power through and will never allow your engine to scream like it will in the FG, but that's the sacrifice we always make for 4x4.
Both are great cars, you will like both for different reasons.

RE: FG vs MCD
I have both a MCD Baja and a FG MB Pro, so my opinion should be accurate.
I'd put my money on the FG, I have broken lots of parts on my MCD-Controll arms, drive gears, and a axle. I realy don't think they are worth what they are selling for.
As for broken parts on my FG none-except for 2 steering servos, I need to install a 5745 and turf the 805bb.
MCD has poorly designed lower controll arms-Shock mounts rip out!
It is kinda cool having a 4wd though.
