Default hpi baja 5b RTR or SS

ok guy's i have a question i have been wanting a hpi baja 5b and i dont kno which one to get. i love them both but i dont kno how hard it is to build the kit and if i did buy the kit i have a JRracing system in my Losi Aftershock, and i wanted to kmo if i baught another reciever for the kit so i wouldn't need to worry about buying all that other stuff.and i realy like the RTR but i dont like the stock remote or the pipe.i mean i'd use it but i would much rather have a better remote. i dont kno wich one so help me please. i realy want to get one of those things in my hands.

Thanks for helping

Buy the SS and one more receiver and chrystal, and youre ready to go.I reckon it is not hard to build, very good instructions, very educational to build it as you know how everything works when you are going to maintain and changing parts on it.You even get the 26 ccm engine and some other goodies in the SS kit

I have been kicking around the same idea for a while now.
I have decided to go with the SS cause of the engine and other factors.
I have heard though that the stock bearings are not that great.
Other then that this thing seems to be pretty awesome.
I have been in the hobby for 18 years and have not ever had anything 2 stroke before.
Bought an older Enforcer boat fixed that up and I love the 2 stroke thing now.
Nitro is cool but running for a solid 1/2 hr and still going with no heat issues is awesome.
Plus these things are a real crowd pleaser.
So when the wedding is all paid for the Baja gets ordered.
Early wedding gift for me ha ha ha

I'd consider the new HPI 5T. The truck version closes in the chassis better and may help keep the dirt out. I find I pick up a lot of dirt in the buggy, gets into the fan on the motor, the pull starter and grass gets blown into the cooling fins on the motor.

The truck also has the upgraded SS parts and comes ready to run.

They also have free shipping on $99 and up if you order by the 18th, might be a decent chunk for something as large as a Baja.
