FS racing 30cc motor on hpi baja 5b
Hello all, im getting a used hpi baja 5b and it is coming with a new 30cc fs motor off a king kong. comes with the old blown up 23cc, ddm tuned pipe and turtle racing clutch system.
my question is
1 is the fs30cc a cy? i know its not a zenoah.
2 how well do they run?
3 can i put a head kit on it from ddm?
4 is it a 4 bolt head?

It's a CY clone I believe. They run fine and are pretty reliable and powerful. Can't say for sure about the head kit but you should be able to.

the fs motors are crap you will be lucky to get 2-3 tanks out of it ........and most of them are only 26cc not 30cc

That's true, I forgot about the part that they're only 26cc and advertised as 30cc.
Still, I have an XRC on road and it's engine is still alive after many tanks.

i talked to ddm today and he was not sure if the 4 bolt zenoah head would work on the fs motor. well guess ill put a head kit on the 23cc block [>:]
