This was developed because of the large scale speed events coming this season.
Yes, you will need some room to get the full effect of some SERIOUS speed results, usually a good 300-500 feet.
Large scale drag racing is held on the 330 foot strip, so taken advantage of this unit will be very easy!

It looks great any chance in the future of going with lighter plastic gears instead of steel?? Plastic would be less rotational mass on the drivetrain. I think you could do it because you have a brace between the pinion and spur gear so they can't pull apart at high rpms plastic could possibly work.
