Default Airtronics Aquila XL and Grand Esprit

I've been looking forward to scratch building both of these classics, and already obtained copies of the building plans. Unfortunately, most of the wing rib profiles are not shown on the plans. Does anyone have either kit sitting on the shelf? If you would be willing to trace the wing ribs profiles on paper and mail them to me, it would be greatly appreciated. I would certainly cover the cost of the paper and the postage. Please PM me if you would be willing to do this.

Any suggestions for modifications to these planes during construction? I know the Miller Mod on the Aquila is something that should be done, but was wondering about any other changes that could improve the strength of the airframe or the performance? The fuselage on the Grand Esprit looks too short to me, and I was wondering if anyone has tried lengthening it with success? Or adding an airfoil shape to the V-tail? Thoughts?

AS an owner of both, build to plan, add carbon to the spars and enjoy.
They are both great fliers per plan. The Grand Esprit wings seems to sensitive on the Super Esprit (173") fuselage which is 4" longer.

Hi Juggler,

I have an AQUILA Standard Class Sailplane kit by Airtronics/Cox. It's about 75% Built. The Wings and Tail sections are built, the rest of the kit is still in the box. I don't know if the wings are the same size as the Aquila XL.

I have Macular Degeneration in both eyes, I get Hypo shots directly into my eyeballs every 30 days, I can still drive, but difficult to build or fly anymore.

If someone has interest in this 99" Standard Class Kit, please PM me, I would like to sell it if someone is interested.
