Scott, have you paid the deposit yet? I tried to, he told me to wait. Guess I'm far down on the list.

Hi guys!

i placed my order sometime one year ago! I just recently asked when mine will get delivered, i get mine later in summer .

As i got two more major builds on the work table, i might offer my Mig order place to someone else! If anyone is interested?
More info via PN!

Cheers

So you have resorted to building this in the 'bunker', at least that way you can stay focussed ;-)

Your gonna love it mate. Mine travelled well considering the miles it did and all the handling that went on.

ANZAC break here and we're at the beach for the weekend - will post some shots of the Hawk next week. Looking pretty good.

I have purchased most of the Mig-15 books available on amazon in anticipation of building this kit. Most of them are not so hot. This one is great, actually has a lot of color pictures.

Hey George, I'm about 15 minutes East of Seattle. LOL, you must have been talking to John. Both of his sist 190's are headed this way, a long with his gorgeous P-47! My buddy and I have top flite 190's and fly them in formation all the time. It will look and sound much better with 1/4 scalers and moki radials.

Hey George, I do know the guy you sold your wulf to, he is a member at our field. If you talk to him again, ask him how much gas his corsair holds….. ;-) I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from the museum. I've been a member there for three years, hopefully that will get my foot in the door.

Finally! The Mig15 has arrived Norway ))

Agoston from Flytechnique in Hungary visited Jetpower Norway and in the van there it was; my beautiful Mig15 in Hungarian camo.
This model is, as most of you probably already now, a masterpiece and with the new scale flaps completed the hole thing.
Agoston is a dedicated, very high skilled technician and modeller. He has spend almost 6 years on this model and everything is made from scratch!
Even the tires is super scale on this model...

Now the beauty has to be finished and get the rest of the equipment on board; Merlin 160, JR8911, etc, etc.

Some pics;

i did study the 2 planes Roar had at the fyresdal event.

They Build quality is Mibo Like, that VERY good.

the look is great. but i REALLY HATE the 3 top hatches on the fuse, they really ruin it for me. like on the carf Mig-15

The model is not larger than it could be turned upside down for maintenance and installs - like the servo hatches on the fin.

i took a picture of the silver one...

Now I am wishing I had Agoston build and paint mine. The camouflage bird looks great. I hope to have mine finished in another month or so. Plane goes together rather well just waiting on a few other parts.

Hey Kasper, how you doing? I thought of all you crazy lads seeing those images come through - looked like a great get together.

The Mig is an awesome kit for sure and Agoston has really done an amazing job - he really has raised the bar. There is still however a bit to do if you want to build a model ready for competition - hatches and internal control systems are just a starter for ten.

I'm buried in the Internal controls right now... not so easy to retrofit in to a fully composite kit, but coming together. I have just cut the top 1/3 off the fin for example... this was very scary but has made the elevator and dual rudder setup a whole lot more practical. This attachment point will be invisible at the end of the day.

I am planning a front access hatch as per the full size and trying to find away of re-fixing at least one of the others. The Mig-15 format does make hatch access really difficult and I can see exactly why Agoston has done what he has. Right back to BVM and Carf Mig days the problem is obvious.

As you say, maybe the underside - at least for engine access, is the way to a go.

Cheers Kasper!

Tobba.. Fyresdal was GREAT!

it would be possible to make the hatch cuts where the original panel lines are instead of just starting the table saw and cut it open.

Hey Kasper - yep a pile of panel lines to choose from - this made the top fin cut off and hiding quite join easy. The join will be invisible and the same plan if I change the hatches. Agoston did the same and followed panel line for all hatches however there is one hatch a join through a panel on both sides that needs to be fixed.
