Kasperīs FB Mirage 2000D
Hey there!
i would like to show of my new mirage 2000 from Fei Bao i bought at the Jetpower fair this year.
the quality of the airframe is very high, the gluing is perfect, first jet where i havent reinforced anything...
the quality of the gear is great, and the sandwich work with the airrex is very nicely on the inside also...
i have only added scale details and weathering to get this result... (and yes i know the "no step" is written in reverse
Details:
Power: Jetcat p-180rx
radio: futaba 18mz with futaba HV servos and 7008 recievers.
smokesystem: jetcat BUS pump at 1000ml/min
tanksystem: 4l fuel + 1l smoke oil
weight: about 20kg wet maybe a little less
Lights: Emcotec LEDs, driven by JETCAT LCU-pro-usb
adv. telemetri, with Carsten Groenīs ASSi unit: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-j...atalogger.html
I cant rotate the pictures.. they are correct...

Looks and flies good. A friend are looking at this model too. Do you think the 180 is enough power or would you want more? Thinking a delta need alot of oumpf when exiting a high alpha manover or tight turns. My friend are chooseing between a 190 or 240 turbine.

hmm the 180 is OK.
if you choose larger engine the fuel is a problem.. theres not much room in the jet. i think the fuel amount right now is about 4 liters.

Thanks for your reply. Fuel will not be an issue. I assume it won't use more fuel then a Futura so 2.8liters should do here too even with the 240N Engine. With the possibility to go to 4liters if needed it's perfect.

Hi Kasper, when you operate the slats or the air brakes, do you need to mix a compensation to the elevator ? Do you use the slats for take off and landing only or any other special fly configuration ? Txs

Maybe the slats will give better lift at takeoff.. really havent tested.
henke:
my mirage is about 17-18 kg with fuel.. so the 180rx is great... but im not the best to judge.. because i like ALOT of power, like my F-16

Hi Kasper, from your video I noticed your smoke system seems to be very efficient, producing a lot of smoke with high density and persistence. Can you please share your set-up for the smoke system, such as pump and liquid used, any other tricks good to know ? Thanks
