Totally understand. After 30 years of plugging in 1 servo for 1 channel it took awhile to get used to the idea of up to 5 servos per channel on 1 wire. But after you understand it is amazing. I can now run all my gear door servos on 1 channel but Im able to adjust each one separately. On my spektrum that would of took 3 channels.

The reason we are getting a infinity is because JR americas thought some would like it better and as a thank you for the people that had preordered the 28 last year. Everywhere else in the world they just get the 712. The manual never mentions the infinity only the 712. if you noticed the infinity was in a bubble wrapped package, it was put in later.

I'm so disappointed that it won't work with DSM2 and DSMX Rx's. I have too many of them to replace just to use this Tx. I currently have a 12X and don't need more than 12 channels but it would be really great to have the telemetry....not to mention its fun to have a top of the line anything. The DX18 doesn't really appeal to me but seems to be my only choice if I want the telemetry.....
Too bad, the 28X looks beautiful.....

Hey Bob, buy an XG14 with a 7 channel receiver combo on DMSS and you get your telemetry of course, but you also can slowly change over your models to the new radio over time. The receivers are half the price of the DSM2 stuff and support telemetry out of the box. Change the DSM receivers out as they fail. Radios get old, batteries in them die, step up to the new stuff cost effectively over time. Just a thought

I was glad to hear the 031bx receiver worked up to 28 on the bench. If it can see the channels, odds on it will work. Be interesting for a JR Rep with experience on this subject to chime in with accurate information on why they wrote they don't work in the manual. It would be good to know the why of it all. It might work great down here, but some gremlin shows up in the later channels after time.....who knows.

If I get time this weekend I'm going to go over to a friend's house and between the two of us I think we have enough harnesses to set up a infinity on 28 channels.
Bob it took a month but I sold all my spektrum stuff on rcu and ebay. Had over a dozen receivers and a 18qq. It's a nice feeling knowing all my equipment is new.

Customizable audio and vibration alerts
Another great feature of the JR 28X is an audio controller, which you
can use for voice, music and telemetry notifications. These audio and
vibration notifications can also be customized as you see fit.
