LHS won't sell international.
Australian distributor is Model Flight. RRP $2999.00. (I get a slight sponsor discount from LHS). I'm not sure if they will sell international, they may refer you to a distributor in your country as some distributors do, (for e.g. Horizon and not sure about JR Americas), but you can check. Only M2 in stock at the moment. By the time you add freight/insurance, it might not be much cheaper?

Yes, it's awesome that they incorporated the wireless. Setting the the default link in the browser was a nice touch as well. It'll be a snap to update when they start releasing updates.

Jetpilot,
Can you post a little more of your setup? What XBus components are you using etc? Are you using some kind of battery backer (Powerbox, JR XBus Dualport, Smart Fly etc.) or is all the current for the servos being sourced through the receiver? I'm not seeing those kinds of temps in either the 031BX or the 712 BX. If the receiver is in a relatively cool place in the fuse, I'd say alot of current must be getting sourced to the servos through the receiver to get to those temps. Ideally, you'd not want to source any current to the servos through the 031BX. The current drain on the receiver should ideally be signal related only.. not power and definitely not enough to heat it up that much.

JetPilot,
Scratch my last post, I can see from your photo that it's not sourcing current directly to the servos. I just set mine up on the bench with a 031BX, connected to a Powerbox Champion SRS... nothing else connected and no airflow. I saw temps up to 119°F after about 5 minutes. The 031BX receiver and satellites alone draw between 200 and 400 milliamps at 6.5 volts. I guess the temps are normal. However, with minimal airflow around the receiver (small fan on low), the temps dropped to around 100°.

wow pretty sweet radio. im still using my 11x and don't plan to change out all my rx's for this. I think its best to wait a while, this 28x reminds me of the first cell phones, BIG bulky tech. looks like refinements or an affordable version would follow. same as they've done on previous radios..
kudos to whomever gets this one.. very nice.

All you guys getting the latest JR, any of you wanting to sell what you are replacing? I need to upgrade, fly a lot of warbirds. Would love some of the features newer radios have. Scale flap speeds and such. Emai [email protected] check my ratings I'm a legit buyer. Looking for excellent JR. radio and reciever(s)

.... having said that, they're not temps to have any concern about. I would imagine JR has these rated up to 60°C to 70°C. Just a guess but that's pretty common for most electronic components designed to perform in atmospheric ambient temps.
