I don't get it either. If you have gone over the install a few times and you don't get what you should be getting on the ground test, my feeling is don't install it arse backward to band aid the situation... but rather send it back as it is defective. With my two units they installed and set up exactly as these threads show as well as the instructions. It's not inconceivable that you'd have gotten one that was defective / inop on delivery but with the quality of the units I'd be surprised and it would be rare I'd think. Also as you mentioned earlier, I make a small mark with a sharpie on the side of the case showing what pin is the negative pin (so you plug your servo wires in right the first time) as the legend for that is covered up as soon as you mount the gyro. Good luck, I hope it's a quick exchange to get a good unit.

That picture you show, if I mount my igyro like what those arrows show, ( which is supose to represent direction of flight) and move the gyro up and down, it moves my ailirons.

Is it possible or permissible to have the gyro in the a different orientation... meaning I placing the gyro in the direction where the logo would be facing up with the white button facing down. the nose of the plane facing the same direction the receiver is position. Thank Paul

I think the way you have it is just fine. As long as the "long" axis of the gyro is parallel to the direction of flight (i.e. the fuselage), you can mount it with either end pointing forward.

The Long axis of my gyro is not parellel to direction of my flight, it is perpendiclar, but the controls all seem to be working ok, I am just wondering if this is ok,but this is not what the instructions show.

Gentleman,
I have two iGyro 3e's, and I love them. I also have a Bvarian Cortex that I'd like to download the latest firmware on it. I did not buy the cable for the Cortex as everyone said it's totally plug and play and not necessary (but now I feel it is a good idea to fine tune it and also download the latest Bavarian firmware, for that, yes, I do need the cable).
I have the USB interface for the iGyro, but not the Cortex. I was looking on line to buy a Cortex USB cable and they look identical to the iGyro USB cable. It seems they may well be the same thing in essence - just a USB cable interface with a pigtail connected. Any of you guys try the Cortex or iGyro cables mixed with "brand X" and if so - I assume, at least, it won't turn the unit into a magic smoking mushroom cloud?

The Demon uses two wires and the 3E has three wires. Might work, But I can mail you one. I've got a few of the Demon USB adapters........

I tried my Cortex cable with my IGyro 3 and it would not work, so I assume the IGyro cable would not work with the Cortex. I went ahead and bought an IGyro cable. FYI, both gyros require a separate power source other than the USB plug to work/program with your computer.
