I have had better luck with the cheap Hobby King lipos than the top 'name' brands.
I think the extra dollars you pay for the 'name' brands is only for advertising, margins & hype.

Any lipo can go kaput Jose, good brands like the thunder power can too..
The bad thing of u.s.branded chinese goods bought in a country that overtax imported products in days of monetary devaluation is that they can be slightly irritating when they didnt last as expected.
Best way to reduce frustration is exploding this sucker with a automatic gun in the shooting range,,

I noticed it's a 65c pack, these are known for having issues when left fully charged for long periods of time. Keep in mind they are the biggest fire hazard when sitting fully charged. I would reccomend doing a storage charge after your done flying and not charge them till the morning of flying. This is safer and will make your packs last longer.
I fly big EDF in addition to turbines (several 12s 8000 mah setups) and have had the best success with the method above. I run A123 (2 in parrallel) for all my RX's and a single 3s Life for my ECU's with the exception of an older P120 I still have, it has to run on a 2s lipo....

LiFe batts are without doubt the best available chemestry for our jets, and we use them as much as we could..
however in some turbine ECU´s there are not available as a option.. in Jose´s case in his ECU there is only NiCd and LiPo types available for use, and as NiCd batts are rare as chicken teeth this days LiPo is the only way to go.
Now Turbotronic.. get a LiFe! (sorry, this is funny, couldnt resist! )

Not unexpected, looks like TP changed some of the pack chemistry for those cells
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1767093
Grepow cells (LPB Power, Pulse, Thor packs, Gen Ace), Revo, Dinogy put out some of the best performance and can take the beatings

A lot of cell makers moved to iron cobalt years ago because they're stable down to 3.2 a cell under load and don't have the negative effects (puff, over heat, pop etc) of magnesium cells have
It wasn't much more expensive and now the cell makers can put them in bigger packs like 10,000 mah and 12,000mah without going to 2p configurations. lighter and smaller form factor... thx to quad copters
Now HK has some of the best packs that are stable under 20 - 30c pulls, don't know why the other pack makers aren't moving to the more stable chemistry other than magnesium is 5,000 a ton and iron cobalt is 50,000 a ton or something close.

i have not more info about, but, was an alternative to use on fuel pump.
Maybe eneloop is an way, i called andy on electrodynamics

The manganese is 6,000 dollars a ton where the lithium iron cobalt (or it's variants) are 50,000 a ton a couple of years back.
Also, with cobalt ... my understanding... since it's more stable near the edges of capacity and voltages ranges they can go higher in volts without adding cells... so there's more power output without having more weight.
Hobby King sells the "bolt" packs and Revo sells a 4.27 packs... more output and more stable
Something the current crop of 30 + lbs fans can put to use

I have read quite a bit on different brand of batteries. It seems in the recent years, most people that buy Thunder Power have been getting a mediocre battery at best. Poor long term endurance at an extremely high price (double the price of Revolectrix).
Ever since I started flying, I have had a couple Revolectrix 3S 2200mAh batteries with well over 300 flights each. Both batteries have extremely good internal resistance, absolutely no puff, and perform top notch. Along with the testing that I have seen documented on RCGroups, I would say they are one of, if not, the top batteries that you can buy.
