Is the 1460 grams the bare engine weight or does that include the pump, ECU, working and Lipo?

Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,

That's the weight of the engine only.

Regards,
Barry

Thumbs up

Well done Barry. The Kingtech range of turbines is already fantastic and now the 160 simply make it complete. It is very good to have a range where the exact turbine size required for a project, is now available.

.....you are seriously tempting me.

Cheers,

Jan

Haha Jan, Ken just ordered at least one, so there's gonna be 160s in Australia plenty soon so you could check it out.

Thanks for reminding me Joe, the K-160 will have an MAP of $2,650.

Cheers,
Barry

Very cool new product!!! At that weight it could revive some life into older models that were weight challenged!

Ran the twin K160s today in Barry's plane and it was clear I need help holding the plane lol. Could not go full power it had to much push.

Always nice when you simply plug it all in and it works without messing with it.

Hi to all,
i'm planing to use K-160G for SM 1:4,75 Hawk, and have couple question:
- will these UAT (http://www.dreamworksrc.com/catalog/...e-Air-Trap-Uat) OK for these turbine?
- will be OK 1/8" diameter tubing enough for fuel feed (fuel tank-UAT-fuel pump), ore have I to use high flow 3/16" tubing?
- what is "fuel in" connecting pipe diameter of fuel pump?.
All my previous turbine was up to 12kg trust and I used 1/8" tube everywhere, does it why all question come.

Kind regards,
Sergey

This is a better option.

http://www.dreamworksrc.com/catalog/High-Flow-Air-Trap

You are saying 1/8" i/D in tygon. So 3.2mm bore, 4mm id / 6mm od clear is a better tube externally on the tanks.
I guess KT use 4mm od tube to the turbine from the pump, but to the pump use large bore throughout
