Wink

After getting a call from Dirk that the container had issues cleaning customs, he suggested a direct order (with a small shipping fee) and within two weeks a big box is delivered to my house. The same day I pickup a K60 G2 from Kingtech offices. A BIG THANKS to Dirk for organizing all of that.

After unpacking and starting assembly within 4.5 hours the jet was ready to fly. It would have taken much less time if this was my second time assembling this jet. The equipment board installation and the gluing of the rails to hold the board took the longest time. This jet has a Cortex Pro connected to a Jeti Receiver through a single wire in serial mode (EX Buss).. Thanks to Danny (DemonAero)

If you are going to run the Kingtech engine, or any turbine IMHO.
Oder the Kingtech oil from Pacific RC Jets it is $90 for the two gallons shipped, and the bottles are marked with the amount (5%) or 1 quart for 5 gallons of fuel. 2 gallons of oil should take care of 40 gallons of fuel The Kingtech oil has the additives to keep the slime from growing and causing blockages.
I have been running it in my old JetCat P-120 and it runs far better than the JetCat oil I had before.

You won't be disappointed. Just make sure you use the proper mix. 5% oil over all

Or if you are doing 5 gallons..... 1 quart oil to 5 gallons fuel.

If my math is correct it is 947milliliters oil to 18.92 liters of fuel. I'm sure someone will correct me that that knows those numbers.

There are no additives in the oil to control slime growth. You will have to add that separately.

Oh man, everyone has been so nice on this thread. Why turn it into an "oil" thread?

Have A Look guys!!

The Kigtech EPO F-16 In the AK scheme. Here are a bunch of un-boxing and airframe assembly photos. Should have the K60 engine in a couple days and will document the install along with the remaining electronics.
This jet went together effortlessly and in about 30 mins. The packaging is amazing and you can flip the top of the foam box over and use it as an assembly cradle

I fly a lot and I go through several gallons of Diesel per week. I buy Shell Turbo T32 in a 5 gallon pail and transfer into quarts. I have over ten Jets Munt turbines and two Kingtech all installed in airframes. JM requires 3% oil and KT 5%. I just use a quart of Oil for 5 gallons of Diesel its easier.

As for the smoke pump it is already installed and plumbed ready to go and the smoke nozzle is in place. FOD screen does not come with engine and you have to get that as well as batteries.

I decided to go with two 2 cell Lipo for servos and lights and a 3 cell LiFe for the turbine. The onboard controller regulates all control surface power to 6.0 Volts (5.0 volts optional) so I think less heat will built up from 2 cell Lipo (7.4V) compare to a 3 cell LiFe (9.9V), but Kingtech turbines runs happier on a 3 cell LiFe.

If there's anti-slime additives in KT oil then why is there slime in my fuel? All I use is KT oil and love it, but I had to shock my fuel with Biobor recently due to slime.

I think you might be mistaken on that.

I add Biobor equivalent for 100 gallons to my 5 gallon pail of oil... Even though pump diesel has enough additives to prevent algae or slim since they are stored in under ground tanks.

To my knowledge only a JetCat ECU is susceptible to static electricity and the fuel used requires "Anti-Static" additive ... Xicoy ECU and Kingtech ECU are not susceptible to static issues.

No problems with mine either and it's an older one. Still run anti-static tubing from pump to turbine because it seems to fit he festo fittings better

I hate to put a pin in your bubble but that's not true....

Being a retired Firefighter, I was around a bunch of diesel powered trucks. The reserve engines (pumper trucks) don't get used a whole lot even though they are pulled out of the bays at least once a week.

On one particular occasion, one of 'em would not start and we had to have the shops come get it on a trailer. The fuel system was plugged with algae, or as I like to refer to the stuff; bugs.

Jet-A used to have some anti-fungals included and it was most commonly called "Prist". Some A/C's required Prist at every fillup as it was an anti-icing, anti-static agent as well. Most notably the LearJets.

So now, if you want an anti "slime" agent, you have to add it to the fuel yourself. I add it to my diesel powered pickup since it's not used a whole lot. I simply ad the JetCat oil to my Kerosene for my models and that fuel is kept in the translucent jugs so you can see if any bad stuff starts growing. So far I've not had an issue but I've got the filters capable of cleaning it out of the fuel if I see any that's developed.
