Default RC Jet International Big News!

Hi all,

Just a short post to let you know about three important RC Jet International Magazine developments;

1/ We have totally revamped our website at www.rcjetinternational.com and brought it into the modern world! This has allowed us to offer alternative payment methods for subscriptions etc, as well as the ability to take orders for back issues, where we still have almost three quarters of the issues ever produced. The front covers of more recent issues are already on the site, with older issues due to appear during next week.

2/ We are delighted to announce that we have produced a superb 2019 A3 wall calendar, illustrated with the amazing photography of Geoff Grice, see attached draft of the front cover. These calendars are available now and can be ordered via the website, under the Merchandise tab.

3/ The latest issue of RCJI magazine (Feb/Mar 2019) is being published next week in both paper and digital format, and will be sent out to subscribers then. Paper subscriptions can be arranged via our website and digital at https://pocketmags.com/radio-control...ional-magazine This latest issue includes the second part of the extended JetPower 2018 report, test of the new Jets Munt VT90BLR turbine, report on the Jet Formation World Masters in China, test of the HSD Jets multi function air valve as well as articles on the amazing XB-70 Valkyrie and use of the latest technology in the development of a superbly designed and detailed F-105 Thunderchief; not to mention part 2 of the BD-5J report, and regular columns from David Gladwin and Dave Wilshere!

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the kind comments about the magazine, we will continue to do our very best to keep on improving each issue, Marco and I have a number of ideas for the future.

We had a great time at Buttonwillow, (not to mention the rest of our USA visit), watching some great flying and fantastic models, but most of all meeting so many wonderful people, we could not have been made more welcome!

Regarding information on issues remaining of subscriptions, at present a reminder letter is sent out with the last issue of a subscription, but it does appear that at least one issue was inadvertently posted out without this letter. We are looking at various options to better advise subscribers of how many issues they have remaining, either by including a sheet with each issue advising how many copies are still due, or making this information accessible via the website. As soon as I have more information on this I will post here.

Hi Colin

I am sure you probably know the system but just in case, I used to get a Horse magazine and it always indicated the number of issues left in my subscription on the address label . All it said was "issues left xx". maybe this would be something that works if the software cost is not high.

Your merchandise area looks a bit sparse, I'd buy a nice polo shirt with the RCJI logo on it if it where available ( hint hint)

Colin
Just to let you know, my issue came in yesterday and it did include the sheet that told me that the subscription has now expired. So your system is working.

Thanks
Alan

I don't know if or when my subscription expired because I gave up trying to read the magazine on -line. On my laptop the article print is too small to see and on my 27" desk top machine the print was too fuzzy to read. Is this a common problem or do I have a monitor problem in both cases?

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the kind comments and suggestions - we are actively looking into adding more merchandise, including clothing, so hopefully I can supply more news on this soon.

Sid, thanks for the information, we will check this out and come back when we have an answer for you.

Hi folks,

A big thank you to RC Jet International for collaborating on the A3 size 2019 monthly wall art with me this year. As I understand it there were some production issues with the initial orders and that delayed them shipping. Friends of mine in Europe have let me know their calendars started arriving in the last day or two so I hope that the ones shipping to the USA or farther afield will not be too far behind. RCJI have calendars in stock now and are ready to ship any new orders received.

By way of showing my thanks to everyone who has supported my 2019 RC Jets calendar, I am running a prize draw and some lucky winner will receive a brand new Bavarian Demon Cortex Gyro that I bought earlier this week from MHS Ireland. I am doing the prize draw on Feb 28th and will post up the result here and also on my Facebook page. Anyone who has purchased a 2019 calendar before the draw day is automatically entered to win.

Just a quick note on the calendar:
16 incredible jet models
5 amazing jet events
4 countries: Florida Jets - Weston Park UK - JetPower Germany, Best in the West California, AMFC Ireland

I had a mega year of jet activity in 2018 and I hope this brings you lots of jet inspiration for 2019.
The calendar is published, sold, and distributed by RC Jet International and available here:

Here's a sample of one of my jet action shots (this shot is not in the calendar but the shots are of similar detail and quality)
